Montr\u00e9al, Canada, 22 July 2025<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n On July 17th, the United States Department of Commerce announced its preliminary affirmative determination in the antidumping duty investigation of Active Anode Material (AAM) from the People\u2019s Republic of China and recommended the imposition of a 93.5% antidumping tariff against over 60 Chinese AAM exporters. This would raise the total tariffs on Chinese exports of AAM to the US to 160%. A lithium-ion battery (LiB) contains 15 times more AAM compared to lithium.<\/p>\n\n\n\n As a future North American AAM manufacturer, in collaboration with our graphite mining and LiB recycling partners, Green Graphite Technologies (GGT) welcomes this preliminary ruling.
