Montréal, Canada, January 21st, 2025
Gillian Holcroft, co-founder and CEO of Green Graphite Technologies (GGT), will be on hand as part of the Canadian delegation at the 2025 Cleantech Forum North America, taking place from January 27-29, 2025, in San Diego.
GGT has initiated a US$12 million funding round to propel the construction of the company’s lithium-ion battery (LiB) grade graphite demonstration facility, further advancing our patented, sustainable, cost-effective GraphPure™, GraphRenew™ and GraphRestore™ processes. Gillian will be meeting with numerous business and investment leaders in the cleantech space and will have the opportunity to showcase GGT’s innovative suite of solutions during a morning breakfast session on day 2 of the event.
Hosted by the Cleantech Group, the Cleantech Forum North America is the premier event for sustainable innovation, connecting investors, corporates and innovators to fuel business growth, climate solutions, and impact. This mission is being organized by the Government of Canada’s Trade Commissioner Service, MaRS Discovery District, and Export Development Canada.
The investment community recognizes that the majority of lithium-ion battery grade graphite (i.e. anode materials) for electric vehicles (EV) and energy storage systems (ESS) is sourced from China. To reduce geopolitical risks, increase supply chain strength, and meet growing global demand, there’s an urgent need to scale production capacity in the West. Moreover, cost-effective solutions must also address sustainability by leveraging all available mined and recycled sources of graphite while minimizing carbon footprints.
Next week, in San Diego, Gillian will spotlight GGT’s value proposition and how the company will address these challenges. Stay tuned as we continue to shape the future of critical minerals and cleantech innovation.
