Green Graphite Technologies augments its leadership team as the company readies itself for upcoming technological advances and commercialization.

Green Graphite Technologies Inc. (“GGT”), a frontrunner in sustainable graphite technology solutions, proudly announces the December 2023 appointment of Dr. Nicole A. Poirier as its Chief Innovation Officer (CIO).
Dr. Poirier brings over three decades of experience in industrial research, technology development, project management, R&D funding and IP strategy to her new role at GGT. She has demonstrated a commitment to innovation and a track record of driving projects from concept to commercialization. As CIO, she will ensure that the company’s innovation initiatives advance to implemented groundbreaking technologies that address existing environmental challenges.
Dr. Poirier studied at the University of Ottawa as well as McGill University where she earned her Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering. Her career has spanned multiple industrial sectors, where she demonstrated leadership and expertise all throughout. Her journey began at an industrial research institute in 1985 where she led various projects and research teams. Since 2001, she has been serving as the President and Principal Consultant at a consultancy firm where she provides strategic guidance and services to a diverse range of corporate clients.
In 2004, Dr. Poirier played a pivotal role in establishing and growing a Canadian cleantech company in which she led the development and commercialization of advanced wastewater treatment technologies, earning certifications from regulatory bodies such as the USCG and Transport Canada. In 2008, Dr. Poirier co-created one of the first four Business-Led Networks of Centers of Excellence in Canada and served as its Scientific Director until 2014.
In addition to her professional accomplishments, Dr. Poirier is a distinguished Fellow and Board member of the Canadian Academy of Engineering (CAE) and a member of the Scientific Advisory Committee of the Council of Canadian Academies (CCA).
